- Reservations: Reservations are carefully reviewed, and a confirmation email will only be sent once it is confirmed that the driver meets the rental requirements and a vehicle is available.
- Rental Duration: The minimum rental duration is 1 day. If the renter wishes to keep the vehicle beyond the agreed period, they must contact our company to record the extension in the rental agreement and calculate the corresponding fee. C.A.T. Cars reserves the right to refuse an extension. An additional fee will be charged for late return of the vehicle beyond the agreed period.
- Vehicle Pick-up and Drop-off Outside Business Hours: Upon request, the rental vehicle can also be picked up outside our regular business hours (22:00 – 08:00). An additional fee of 15 € per pickup and/or drop-off will apply for this service.
- Kilometers: Our prices include unlimited kilometers.
- Fuel Policy: The renter is required to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when it was initially provided. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the cost for the missing fuel will be charged. However, no refund will be issued if the vehicle is returned with more fuel.
- Driver's Age: The minimum age of the driver must be 23 years and must not exceed 70 years.
- Additional Driver: If an additional driver is required, the fee is 15 € per reservation for each additional driver. The additional driver must accept the same terms as the primary driver.
- Driver's License: The driver's license must have been issued at least 3 years prior to the rental date. Licenses from the EU, the United Kingdom, Russia, and other European countries are accepted. For licenses issued in other countries, an international driving permit is required, which must be presented along with the driver's national license.
- Payment Methods: Credit Card, Paypal and Klarna.
- VAT and Taxes: All our prices are final and include VAT and all necessary taxes.
- Fines - Penalties - Administrative Sanctions: Fines and administrative sanctions incurred due to violations of traffic regulations during the rental period are solely the responsibility of the renter.
- Cancellations: Cancellations made up to one week before the scheduled rental date are free of charge. For cancellations made after this period, 50% of the final rental amount will be refunded.
- Renting Outside the Country: Driving our vehicle´s outside of Greece or transporting them by ferry or other means for travel between islands or countries is not permitted.
- Child / Infant Car Seat: The rental of baby and infant seats costs 0 € per reservation.
- Pets: Pets are allowed in the vehicle, provided they are transported in special containers or using specific covers. If these conditions are not met, a fee for the deep cleaning of the vehicle's interior will be charged.
- Vehicle Cleaning: The vehicle is handed over clean both inside and out. Upon return, the exterior must be in a condition that allows for an inspection for any potential damage. If significant stains have been caused in the interior by the renter that cannot be removed with simple cleaning, a fee for the deep cleaning of the interior will be charged.
- 24/7 Roadside Assistance: All our vehicles are covered by a 24-hour roadside assistance service.
- Accident: In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately notify the company and the police. The police will record the accident, and the renter must present the police report to the company. If no police report can be provided, the renter will assume full responsibility.
- Liability Insurance: The liability insurance is included in the rental price. It covers the renter for property damage caused to third parties, according to the terms of the insurance coverage.
- Fire Insurance: Fire insurance is included in the rental price.
- Theft Insurance: Theft insurance is included in the rental price and covers the renter in in case of vehicle theft (partial or total). However, it does not cover theft caused by the renter's negligence (e.g. if the vehicle keys are left in the car or in the ignition). Additionally, the insurance does not cover the theft or loss of the renter's personal belongings.
- Basic Insurance with Deductible (C.D.W.): The liability insurance C.D.W. is included in the rental price. In case of damage, the renter's liability is limited to the amount specified by the insurance.
- Partial Coverage Insurance with Reduced Deductible (C.D.W. ++): The intermediate C.D.W. ++ insurance offers a smart solution for your protection by reducing liability in case of an accident or damage. It also includes third-party liability insurance, extended coverage with a reduced deductible, partial damage coverage (protection for tires, rims, and windows), as well as 24/7 roadside assistance.
- Deposit for Basic and Partial Coverage Insurance (with Deductible): If you choose the C.D.W. or C.D.W.++ insurance, a deposit is required. The deposit amounts to 300€ for liability insurance and 150€ for partial coverage insurance. The deposit can be paid either in cash or by credit card and will be refunded upon return of the vehicle.
- Fully comprehensive insurance (F.D.W.): With the F.D.W. insurance, you enjoy complete protection for damage caused by you as the renter, without any additional costs. In case of damage, you must inform the company immediately. If the accident involves another vehicle, both the company and the police must be notified, and a police report must be provided. If these procedures are not followed, the F.D.W. insurance will not cover the damage, and the renter will be held responsible for the costs.
- Cases Not Covered by Any Insurance:
- Damage due to violations of Road Traffic Regulations.
- Damage caused by dangerous or reckless driving.
- Damage caused while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Damage caused using the vehicle by unreported drivers.
- Damage to the interior of the vehicle.
- Loss, damage, or theft of the vehicle keys.
- Loss or damage to child seats, tools, safety triangles, spare tires, or fuel caps.
- Damage to the engine due to incorrect fuel.
- Engine damage due to driver's negligence.
- Damage caused using the vehicle on unpaved roads or off-road.
- Damage that occurs after the vehicle's scheduled return time.
- Damage due to intentional acts or negligence of the renter, such as clutch or tire wear, damage to the hood, trunk, or roof caused by persons sitting or standing there.
- Damage caused by an accident when the company and the police are not immediately notified.
- Damage occurring during criminal activities.
